EXHIBITION INFORMATION

筑波山の麓近くにある石蔵を改装したスペース「石蔵Shiten:」で、ペインター テラダヒデジによる個展「ODOLI」が開催される。

テラダヒデジは1980年茨城県生まれ。
日本の民族、風習、神社仏閣、古建築など、古くから人々の近くにあった形をグラフィックデザイン、イラストレーション、文字など様々なスタイルで取り入れ、古い形と現代の意味を混ぜ合わせた作品を制作する。

本作品は津軽三味線小山流三代目 小山豊の主催するイベント「MinYo Block Party」の会場装飾として制作され、
イベントの行われた浅草花劇場内を埋め尽くすように吊り下げ、来場者や演者たちと共に会場全体に祭りの息吹を吹かせた。

～踊り人、百人集まりゃ祭と為る～
踊りに型のない頃、人々は自由に音に乗り、体を揺らし雑然とした姿で一体感を生んでいた。
フリースタイルで踊る100体もの人々の姿は、視覚を楽しませる賑やかな姿となり、音楽を自由に楽しむ呼び水となる。

本展では、日本各地に伝わる民謡の囃し言葉と自由な姿の踊り人たちのポスター「ODOLI」シリーズ100点＋原画を紹介する。
静かに賑やかに石蔵の中から秋祭を感じさせる作品を紹介する展示となっている。

Painter Hideji Terada's solo exhibition `ODOLI' will be held at `Ishigura Shiten:', a renovated stone storehouse near the foot of Mt. Tsukuba. Hideji Terada was born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1980. His style is based on forms that have been close to people since ancient times, such as Japanese people, customs, shrines and temples, and old architecture. He incorporates these in various styles such as graphic design, illustration, and calligraphy, creating works that mix old forms with modern meanings.
This work was created as a venue decoration for the event `MinYo Block Party,' which was held in August and was hosted by Yutaka Oyama, the third headmaster of the Tsugaru shamisen Oyama school. They were hung so as to fill the entire Asakusa Theater where the event was held, and together with the visitors and performers, they breathed the spirit of the festival into the entire venue.
~When 100 dancers gather, it becomes a festival~ When there were no formal dance patterns, people freely moved to the music, swayed their bodies, and created a sense of unity through their chaotic movements. The sight of 100 people dancing freestyle creates a lively sight that is visually pleasing and encourages people to freely enjoy the music.
This exhibition will introduce 100 pieces from the ``ODOLI'' series of posters and original drawings featuring folk songs from various parts of Japan and dancers in free form.
The exhibition introduces works from inside the stone storehouse that evoke the feeling of an autumn festival.
